The Women’s Health Connection (WHC) program administered by Access to Healthcare Network provides breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services to low-income women who are uninsured or underinsured (cannot afford the cost of care). Thanks to the generosity of WHC providers, Nevada women who meet certain qualifications may be eligible to receive free cervical and breast cancer screenings at no charge.
Who is the WHC for?
Services are available to women, transgender men, and transgender women
Individuals who are uninsured and underinsured
Individuals who have insurance but cannot afford the cost of their care
Individuals who live in Nevada
Individuals who are 21-64 years of age
Individuals must meet income guidelines
What Does it Provide?
Cervical Services
- Pelvic exam with pap test every 3 year
- Diagnostic services after an abnormal screening result
- Referral for treatment
- Pelvic exam with co-testing (Pap and HPV test) as recommended by the examining clinician every 5 years
- Diagnostic services after an abnormal screening result
- Referral for treatment
Breast Services
- Annual clinical breast exam
- Diagnostic services after an abnormal screening result
- Referral for treatment
- Annual screening mammogram
- Annual clinical breast exam
- Diagnostic services after an abnormal screening result
